Cool Off July 17th With National Daiquiri Day!
Spread the love
On Tuesday, July 17, celebrate National Daiquiri Day at Coastal Kitchen. Cool off with one of these refreshing rum-based cocktails after a long day at work or a relaxing dinner with family and loved ones. Daiquiris are made with rum, citrus juice, and sugar. The most popular citrus juice for a Daiquiri is lime, offering some tang to the sweet and chilled drink.
Daiquiris were invented in Daiquiri, Cuba, during the Spanish-American War. The beverage is named after the mines that employees were working in at the time. The original Daiquiri was made from Bacardi, lime, sugar, and ice. Today, shaved ice, lemons, and lemons and limes are modern variations of the drink first created in 1898.
At Coastal Kitchen, we’ve put our own spin on the decade-old drink. This Tuesday, try out our Strawberry Daiquiri made with Havana Club Anejo Blanco rum, strawberry, pineapple, orgeat, and fresh lemon. We also serve The Papa Doble Hemingway Daiquiri, which is created from Havana Club Anejo Blanco rum, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, fresh lime and fresh grapefruit juice. Our other Daiquiri menu options include Teddy Hudson’s Seasonal Daiquiri, ‘Observe Me for Symptoms’ Banana Daiquiri, and the Daiquiri of the Week.
For National Daiquiri Day, all day and night we are serving our drinks for $7. Stop by during our happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. for half price snacks, drink specials, and reggae music by Jeffro of Raised Fist Propaganda and DJ Critical of Nalu Surf. This National Daiquiri Day is sure to be a blast, so start planning dinner and drinks at Coastal Kitchen for Tuesday, July 17. Our hours are 11:30 a.m. to midnight on Tuesdays, and you can find our location at 12 East Main Street in Bay Shore.
